On Friday, November 12, 2010, the Account Origination and Maintenance Subcommittee approved the publication of r.30 of the AOM message standards as an "Internal Draft". As required, the MASS Steering committee approved the internal release at the meeting held November 17th, 2010. Internal Draft is the first step in the MASS Committee's publication of an industry standard, where comments on the proposed standard are solicited from MMI members. Comments may be submitted to the “AOM - Release 1.1” forum until December 17, 2010.
Release 1.1 includes many enhancements, including a new restriction change instruction message, a defined cancel message, standardization of suitability information for new accounts, prior management information for new accounts, and comprehensive annotations documenting the purpose and use of each schema element. A complete list of release 1.1 functionality is available from the SourceForge feature tracker.
